Methods to Improve the Efficiency of Graphite Carbonizer
1. Fixed carbon and ash content
Fixed carbon and ash content are opposing parameters in carburizers, and can also affect the efficiency of carburizers to a certain extent. If the fixed carbon content and ash content in the carbon additive are high, the carbon efficiency is high; otherwise, the carbon efficiency is low.
Due to the many uncertain factors affecting the production conditions, it is difficult to strictly evaluate the impact of each parameter on the efficiency of the carbon additive. High ash content has an inhibitory effect on carbonization, while also increasing the amount of slag, thereby prolonging operation time, increasing energy consumption, and increasing labor in the smelting process.
From the perspective of carbonization efficiency, everyone hopes that the fixed carbon content in the carbonization agent will be higher and the ash content will be lower. However, in the actual operation process, we need to consider both the carbon content and the production cost, as well as the impact on the quality of the molten iron.

2. The impact of joining methods
The joining method is a factor that many people tend to overlook, but they do not know that the correct joining method can silently improve the carbon sequestration effect.
When loading, mix the carbon additive with the furnace charge and place it at the bottom and middle of the induction furnace to achieve high carbon efficiency. When adding, it is usually added together with other furnace materials. In the second furnace, a carbonization agent is put into a plastic bag on the remaining 200-400 kilograms of molten iron and added to the molten iron surface. When to add carbon additive, it is generally required to add about 3-4 kilograms of carbon additive for every 100 kilograms of scrap steel added. This ratio is appropriate for adding carbon additive. When melting gray cast iron in a coreless induction furnace, the target composition of the cast iron, the ratio of various furnace materials, and other various process factors can all affect the carbonization efficiency of the carburizing agent.
